Everyone knows Jute, it's used for coconut and coffee bean sacks.

This material is basically an edible leafy vegetable, it's cut down washed and dried, then the fibbers are made into the material we all know, and might love?

It is scratchy, but can be softened somewhat, I'll give it that, but it has a lot of uses, it's very strong, and perfect for bag making.  I also used a load of old coffee sacks to make outdoor cushions which it was perfect for.

Environmentally, it's awesome, it grow quickly, requires no fertiliser or pesticides, and 100% compostable.  A very good, and readily available material (old coffee sacks you can pick up for £2 each)
